Who This Page is For

Last year, the brave Banshee troopers of 2-17 Cavalry departed for Afghanistan on a 15 month deployment. During this deployment, the soldiers have earned the right to proudly wear the Gold Combat Spurs, a time-honored Cavalry tradition.

Why We Need Your Help

Their homecoming will be within the next few weeks and we are seeking your help in making it memorable. We are coordinating for a Spur Ceremony to take place upon their return. Each of the 43 soldiers of Banshee Troop will receive a pair of gold spurs and leather straps. We need your help to make this happen!

By sponsoring a soldier, your donation will provide a soldier with a pair of spurs and your name will be included with the spurs. This will allow the soldier to thank you personally for your support. These soldiers have fulfilled their duty proudly, and when they return home and see the overwhelming support from people like you, it is a truly emotional experience.

What We Are Asking For

A $15.00 Donation Will Sponsor One Soldier's Combat Spurs

When you Click on the "Donate" button, you will be directed to PayPal, our secure server that handles all of our donations. You can donate any amount you would like.
If you know a soldier in the unit and would like to sponsor them by name, just include their name with your donation under the "Donation Comments" section. Your donations are handled securely through PayPal and are directed to the unit Family Readiness Group, who will purchase the spurs for the soldiers.
