This is an update from my 13NOV24 review (which I could not edit)...
Quickly after posting it, the owner of CavHooah reached out and apologized for the shipping delays (not really their fault) and their customer service not responding to my two emails (an unusual situation that was somewhat beyond their control).
Andrea went above and beyond to make things right, and I am extremely grateful to her for it!
She is aware of USPS being extremely slow and is researching other options (in fact, my local mailman put the item in the wrong mailbox twice, and it took an extra two days to get to me thanks to a friendly neighbor after USPS said it was delivered).
And, as I said, they do offer the best products at the best prices around!
I still strongly support this great company for their outstanding products as well as they dedication to their customers! I know I will be buying from them again in the very near future!
The actual cord was great, nicely made and looked great on my Stetson Cavalry well; but as that hat is a larger size (7 3/4), the acorns didn't sit as far down the brim as the ones I got for my non-Stetson Cav hat.
Now the bad, shipping is slow. I ordered the first one along with two other items (a pin and a chin strap) on 25 Oct, and the items arrived on 1 Nov. That's eight days to go from Illinois to Texas. I know that's not directly their fault, but for $9.05 shipping for these three small items I expected a faster method (FedEx or UPS?).
I then tried contacting CavHooah's customer service via email twice to exchange the braid for a larger one, and never got a response; so I ordered a larger combat (31") cord on 3 Nov and as of 12 Nov (nine days later), it is still sitting in Chicago. Shipping for this one item was $4.47, and I have no idea when it will show up.
So while the products are great, your customer service and shipping methods need improvement. I had drill this past weekend and wanted to wear my new Stetson, but couldn't without the new cord as it's been sitting in Chicago for a week (since 5 Nov).
It would also be nice if your customer answered my emails!
Looks like the picture, fits around the crown of the hat. Showed up pretty fast.
Some problems with shipping, but Cavhooah jumped the USPS service & got it fixed.
